Pitts Model 12 Fuselage Project For Sale

Fuselage is constructed similar to JKE’s HP Model 12 version.  The fuselage is 164” from firewall to tailpost.  TIG welded.  Inspected by an EAA Technical Counselor.  The fuselage is straight and true.

All of the tubing structure is complete and finish welded.  The engine mount bungs, 4130 bent fuselage parts, and tail parts were purchased from JKE.  All of the bushings and brackets have been fitted and finished welded.  When I left off I was working on fitting the Kimball sheet metal.  The lower formers are complete.

The side formers are complete, except I was in the process to rework the first pair of side formers for a better fit of the sheet metal.  The J-strips are fitted in the last fuselage bay.  These are really the only things left to complete the fuselage structure except for the engine mount.

The fuselage controls are complete with all bearings.

All of the canopy installation including the guide bushings, windshield stubs and pivot hinge brackets are complete.  I used Kimball's fixture to fit all of the parts.

All of the cabane fittings and lower wing brackets are fitted and finish welded using Darin Bishop's fixtures.

All of the Kimball sheet metal is included except the rear instrument panel.

I have many other pieces items for the fuselage such as AN hardware, master cylinders and reservoirs, fuel selector valve, trim cable and hardware, cable fairleads, and much more.

Project includes:

Fuselage items requiring completion:

Also included:

I am asking $12,000 (plus crating and shipping) for everything.  I’ll also include a set of rotisserie stands for the fuselage.  I will consider selling some of the purchased items separately if someone is interested in enough parts.
