G-PXII was flown by Rob Howarth of The Flying Organisation Limited
Rob bought the airplane and brought it to the U.K. to fly airshows, but unfortunately while preparing his routine, crashed the aircraft on May 14, 2009. Rob was seriously hurt, breaking his back in 5 places when the airplane impacted the ground upright but with a high sink rate. The damage was extensive and the airplane was written off. The cause of the accident was thought to be engine stumble related to carburetion after pitching for a Cobra maneuver attempted at low altitude. Rob has since recovered and is now flyig a CAP 231.
